Overview
Join us for a full-day adventure to the heart of British Columbia’s capital city! Departing from VIU Campus at 9:00 AM, we’ll begin with a scenic drive to Victoria, arriving by 11:00 AM. Start your visit with a guided driving tour featuring key landmarks like Mile 0, followed by a walking tour through the charming downtown—explore the Inner Harbour, historic Chinatown, Government Street, the Empress Hotel, and the iconic Parliament Buildings.
Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure with free time to shop, dine, or join exciting optional activities like whale watching, a visit to the Royal BC Museum, or the Butchart Gardens (additional fees apply). We’ll head back to Nanaimo at 5:00 PM, returning to campus around 7:00 PM.

- 9:00 am – Depart from VIU Campus. Please arrive 15 minutes early as we can’t wait for late passengers.
- 11:00 am – Arrive in Victoria and enjoy a scenic driving tour of the city including Mile 0.
- Enjoy a walking tour of downtown Victoria including the Inner Harbour, Government Street, Chinatown, Empress Hotel, and Parliament Buildings.
- Enjoy free time to explore Victoria on your own or take part in an optional activity such as the Royal BC Museum or the Butchart Gardens (additional expense).
- 5:00 pm – Depart Victoria for Nanaimo.
- ~7:00 pm – Arrive back at campus.
